This love story begins more than 3 decades ago...
The Groom’s parents met at Central Washington University while his Mom was an international student from Japan. Dad (who was a native “Washingtonian”) married Anthony’s Mom and they settled in Japan where he is an English Professor.
After growing up in Japan, Anthony desired a career in aeronautics and he landed back here at CWU where his parents had met ... and as fate would have it, Anthony met his wonderful Bride, Jessica, here at CWU as well!
Jessica's parents grew up in Guatemala, and together this couple's love story spans the globe.
Both graduated from CWU and each were hired by the University after graduation.
Then, after a 7 year courtship Anthony & Jessica decided to tie the knot, but 2020 covid restrictions squashed their “big wedding” plans. Instead, they held a small civil ceremony in The Garden at Brightside Vintage Farm in 2020, and waited until 2022 to host a traditional Wedding with friends & family from around the globe.
The big, beautiful wedding was held on a perfect day this August, and those that couldn’t travel watched via Livestream — including the Bride’s parents, and many of Anthony's relatives who remained back in Japan.
The couple honored their multi-cultural heritages with decor and accessories which complimented the Venue’s natural and colorful beauty.
Wanna know the best part? Without a doubt it has to be the Bride’s “Bouquet” (their sweet 6 month old daughter, baby Yui) as she came down the aisle, through the rose garden & Orchard, with her beaming parents for their formal vows, ring exchange and blessing.
A beautiful meal, toasts, dancing, cake cutting and all of the cherished traditions that have marked centuries of Weddings, were celebrated after their Orchard Ceremony by this beautiful couple and their families here at Brightside Vintage Farm.
